The artic for changes colours for two seasons which is summer and winter. This is because the environment changes, such as in winter there is lots of snow so the artic fox is all white and in summer the environment is mainly brown so the artic fox changes to a brown colour. This helps them hide from predictors and sneak up on prey. Also as the arctic fox lives in one of the coldest parts of the planet there body has many ways to keep the body warm such as the have a large amount of body fat , also the system that can take heat in the circulation to the paws to hold it's main supply of temperature because the arctic for is short and small there is less area of blood to pump around the body which will keep the arctic fox warm , There is only two main places that are more exposed to freeze these are the nose and the paws this is because there is less fur on these places. Also because they are small there is less surface area this means there is less heat escapes the body. The paw allow the arctic fox to hunt on the ice this is because the fur surrounds the paws. The arctic fox has sensitive ears this is so that they are able to hear any movement of there prey miles away and under the snow. Once the arctic fox has located the prey under the snow they pounce and pushed through the snow and kills the prey.

The legs are short which keeps them closer to the ground so that the are harder to see. Also there legs are small and short this means that they have a smaller surface area.
Fur:
The fur help the arctic fox to blend in to its environment in the different seasons which is white in the winter and brown in the summer this will help them to camouflage into there surroundings.
Paws:
The paws are small and in between the pads of the paws there is fur this is so that the feet don't freeze. Also the paws are curved his helps them to walk on the ice and prevent the arctic fox from getting hurt. Also they have claws to help them keep grip on the ice
